Acne
Wash
Foaming Wash - Good for the morning. Foaming action helps remove the excess oil.
Salicylic Acid Wash - Good to use at night to help remove dirt and oil from the pores.
Cerave Acne Control Cleanser - 2% salicylic acid
La Roche Posay Effaclar - 2% salicylic acid + micro exfoliating component.
Caudalie Vinopure - a natural salicylic acid alternative
Benzoyl Peroxide (BP) Wash - Good for removing the dirt, sweat and oil at night. Stronger than Salicylic Acid.
PanOxyl - highest strength (10%). Plus has the foaming action to help remove excess oil. Can use on body acne as well. Not all skin types can tolerate that strength.
Cerave Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser - lower strength (4%). Also has the foaming action.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo - lower strength (4%). This one has an exfoliating component
Cetaphil Complexion Clearing Acne Cleanser - lowest strength (2.6%). Best for those with sensitive skin who can’t tolerate the higher strength BPs
Moisturizer
With Niacinamide - Helps decrease oil (sebum) production.
Cerave PM facial moisturizer - good for night-time application and light weight.
Cerave oil control moisturizing gel cream - this is a gel consistency which some prefer to a cream.
With Sunscreen- Good to put on in the morning.
EltaMD Daily SPF 40 Moisturizer - Spf 40. They even have a tinted version
Cerave AM Facial moisturizer - SPF 30. Light weight.
La Roche Posay Toleriane SPF Moisturizer - SPF 30 and has niacinamide
Retinoid
Adapalene - this is KEY. Apply a pea-sized amount all over your face once a day at night. Put moisturizer on over adapalene.
Differin gel - 0.1% adapalene. Apply once a day at night.
La Roche Posay Effaclar Gel - Also 0.1% adapalene. Just depends on your brand preference.
Pimple Patches
Pimple patches- They are best for preventing picking. Otherwise, you can skip!
Rael Pimple Patches - These actually have retinol so can help with those big painful pimples.
